Our guests continue to rave about the quality and deliciousness of your menu months on from the wedding. Phrases like “it just didn’t taste like your usual [mundane] wedding food” and “best food I’ve had at a wedding” have been used. We still to this day get requests for your parmesan aioli recipe. From the initial email inquiry Emilie and Brona went out of their way, in their own time to visit the venue to understand what facilities would be at their disposal. Organising a wedding from Australia was never hard with your speedy email responses and skype Q&A time. We both love that we got to design our own menu, featuring some of our favourite indulgences. The entire team on the day of the wedding were professional and proactive, ensuring everyone was kept well fed and hydrated. “Emilie and her team made the whole occasion a breeze. They seemed to anticipate our needs and were there doing what needed to be done, before we even had a chance to think of it.

Some family members had challenging dietary requirements and Raspberry Creek made sure that the whole menu was suitable for those people, without compromising on the style, quality and flavours of the food. This was the first time parents of those children had ever been able to eat away from home and relax without having to worry about what their kids could and couldn’t eat. You can imagine how amazing that feels.

I have great pleasure in introducing Brona Parsons. I have been lucky enough to work with Brona on a number of projects over the past year.Brona undertook the role of Food Manager for my recent television series The free range Cook Simple Pleasures.

This role was highly challenging and encompassed a broad range of skills- from planning and organisation, budget control, managing staff, preparing food for filming and food styling. Brona has fabulous organisationals skills, and a commitment to always deliver the best possible result. She is naturally creative and has an excellent palate.

Brona has also travelled with me as my assistant for my Masterclasses at the Melbourne wine and food festival, and a pop up restaurant planning and organising the food, assisting with preparation and coordinating staff and resources.

“I think the key word I’d like to pass along is simple. Everything was so simple and divine. We didn’t want complicated. We were interested in simple delicious food cooked perfectly. That’s exactly what we got, but so much more. The coordination was fantastic. Sian filled in all the gaps and made sure our every desire was fulfilled. She had an excellent handle on what our needs were and made helpful suggestions throughout the process. On top of that, she was there on the night coordinating everything expertly which made us feel at ease. Sian and her team were everything you could want; they were polite, well presented, there when you needed them and never imposed on the atmosphere. They were able to adapt to changing situations and to handle the exuberant dancing of my cousins with a smile. We had a number of comments from our guests that night and on the days following talking about just how outstanding the food was.
